Member: Kyra Balyeat

My Story

Student Trinity University Kyra Balyeat was born in Ohio, where she grew up, hoping to become a lawyer one day. She is currently studying at Trinity University in San Antonio, Texas, majoring in Accounting and minoring in Sustainable Business and Environmental, Socia,l and Governance. After graduation, she plans to work for a few years before pursuing a degree in law to eventually practice environmental law. At Trinity, she is active in many organizations, including her sorority, the CAT Alliance, and MOVE Texas, a group focused on voter registration and civic engagement. Kyra has always been passionate about increasing civic engagement among young people. She has an upcoming internship with Deloitte, where she will work in audit and assurance. Kyra was part of JSA for four years in high school and was part of the ORV regional cabinet for three years. She was the Director of Fundraising for two years, which made her sincerely appreciate the behind-the-scenes work of a club like JSA. Her recent experience with JSA will help bridge the gap between the two clubs, and she looks forward to all that the Civic Leaders of America can provide to students across the country.
