Gargi Garg is a senior at Plano Senior High School and the former Director of Debate for the Texas State. She is driven by a desire to help young people recognize the power of their voices and the role they can play in changing their communities. She believes that every student deserves the knowledge and opportunity to understand their role in our democracy, and that civic education is one of the most powerful tools we have to change.

Raina Patel is a senior at South Brunswick High School and serves as Governor of the CLA Mid-Atlantic State. Previously serving as Deputy Director of Debate, Raina has spent her time in CLA helping create spaces where students feel confident speaking up, exchanging ideas, and getting involved. As Governor, she is focused on expanding opportunities for students across the Mid-Atlantic, strengthening chapters, and building a community where every student feels that their voice matters.   

As the first Latino Governor of SoCal CLA I'm proud to be a dedicated community servant and aspiring leader from the heart of South Los Angeles working to advance student leadership and youth opportunities every day. 

Olivia Shin is a senior at Maria Carrillo High School and the former Director of Communications for the Pacific Coast State. Passionate about civic engagement and student awareness, she is committed to giving students across the state the means to become informed and active citizens. She believes education is one of the most meaningful ways to create positive change in today’s world.

Katie Silvay is a senior at Lake Forest High School and the former Midwest Director of Debate. She believes that civic leadership must stem from the curiosity and patience required to listen to others, and that only by listening will we find the solutions to the problems of today. CLA has taught her that everyone has something to say if allowed to speak their mind, and that listening to those opinions is essential to democracy.

Passionate about public health policy, Nora Ismael is a senior at Staples High School in Westport, Connecticut who joined Civic Leaders of America in 2024 in order to engage in political discussions and service with other students. She enjoys captaining her school's Science Olympiad team, playing the alto saxophone, and film photography. Nora hopes to study biochemistry and political science in college and advocate for global healthcare equity.
